ConnectMyVariant is currently funded through a Life Science Start-Up and Development Award from the Andy Hill CARE fund.

In the past, we received generous funding to pilot ConnectMyVariant resources with a grant from the Brotman Baty Institute for Precision Medicine and to launch ConnectMyVariant as a non-profit from UW CoMotion. ConnectMyVariant was initially developed as an educational service of the University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

Prior work on connecting families has been supported by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and the NIH.
